Terms & Conditions

What the CRASPACE assessment is, what it isn't, and the rules for using it.

Provisional. This page describes accurately what the service does with data today, and it is kept in step with the code. It has not yet had a legal review, so treat the wording - not the facts - as a draft. Questions: [email protected].

What this service is

CRASPACE reads publicly available information about a company's products and produces an indicative scoping hypothesis against Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 (the Cyber Resilience Act) and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2392. It is free to use.

What it is not

  • It is not legal advice.
  • It is not a conformity assessment and not a determination of compliance.
  • It does not certify anything. CRASPACE is not a notified body and cannot issue CRA certificates. Products that fall in the Critical class (Annex IV) require a notified body and a certificate, and we will tell you so and hand you on to an accredited body.
  • A verdict of "likely out of scope" is not a guarantee that the CRA does not apply to you.

Classifications are produced from public information with AI assistance, and public information is often incomplete. Every assessment carries a confidence indicator for that reason. Confirm any classification against your actual product specifications and sales channels before acting on it.

Acceptable use

  • Assess companies you have a legitimate professional interest in.
  • Don't use the service to send unsolicited mail. Report sharing exists so colleagues and partners can read an assessment - not as a mailing tool, and it is rate-limited accordingly.
  • Don't attempt to circumvent the verification step, the sharing limits, or the expiry on shared links.
  • Don't scrape, resell, or present the output as a certification or as your own conformity assessment.

Shared links

A shared report link is issued for one recipient and expires (currently after 14 days). Treat it as confidential: anyone holding the link can read that report until it expires. If you share a report in error, contact us and we will withdraw the link.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as-is, without warranty, and may change or be unavailable. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of an indicative assessment. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Regulatory obligations under the CRA remain the manufacturer's, importer's or distributor's own.
